ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
My love for photography began at an early age. I can recall using my first camera, a Kodak Disc, during our family backpacking trips in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range. During my younger years my mother, Gayle, and I would take off exploring together. Mom packed her easel, oil paints and canvases. I packed my camera. Whenever family asked us how long the trip was to a certain destination, we never knew due to all the detours and stops along the way. As far back as I can recall, my mother would always point out interesting landscapes or skies and state, “That would make a great painting.” Years later, we are still exploring together for the same exact reasons and I am so excited to share some of her wonderful paintings that have been inspired by places we have been. She just launched her website GayleBrucherArt.com a few months ago and I would love to share her classic style of painting with you as well.
From the California coast to the Colorado Rockies, the plains of Oklahoma and now the versatile Big Sky state of Montana, this amazing country we live in never fails to provide stunning moments that I have been fortunate enough to capture on camera. Some of my favorite photos are from trips my husband and I took while touring the Western United States on our motorcycles although I have a new obsession with the old wooden grain elevators that tower over the Montana landscape! Most of all, the memories made during these adventures will stay with me long after the photos are gone.
